Repeat Prescriptions

These will only be issued with the agreement of a doctor.

If you are registered for online services then you will also be able to order your repeat medication in this way. If you are not registered for this service you may do so by contacting Reception.

You may also request a repeat prescription by completing and signing the right hand side of your prescription and returning it to the surgery.

Please order your prescription by 10:30 a.m. and allow at least two working days for the prescription to be prepared. If preferred, we can arrange for the prescription to go to a chemist of your choice. Please ensure this is stated at the time the prescription is requested and allow one extra working day.

Please note that:

Telephone requests for repeat items CANNOT be accepted

Requests received after 10:30 a.m. will not be processed until the following working day; the two working day timescale starts then.

Hospital Prescriptions

Medication and any other items issued to you by a hospital on a prescription should be obtained from the hospital pharmacy.

If you require us to issue the prescription, you must be prepared to wait the normal 2 working days for us to do this.

If you require the prescription sooner you will need to go back to the hospital pharmacy for the items.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see either a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications.

Please allow two full working days between requesting and collecting your medication.  Please do not ask us to provide a prescription in a shorter timescale as it is very unlikely we will be able to do so.
