Minor Illness

It may not always be necessary to see the doctor and we have a nurse practitioner who can deal with a range of more minor illnesses. Please ask the receptionist for details.

Travel Information

Cervical Smears

Current guidelines recommend that women aged 25-49 have a smear every three years and those aged 50-64 every five years. It is this practice's policy to invite you to attend the clinic. .

The practice offers all childhood immunisations. It is strongly recommended that parents ensure their children are fully immunised.   View the NHS recommended childrens immunisation schedule

Counselling

If appropriate you will be referred to one of our in-house counsellors - Mrs L lo Bianco or Mrs J Walker.

New Patient Interviews

Carried out with the practice nurse, an interview should be booked as soon as possible after you register with the practice.

Chronic Disease Clinics

Regular review appointments are offered with our specialist practice nurses for patients with Asthma, Diabetes, or CVD (Cardio/Cerebro Vascular Disease)

All GP’s are trained to counsel appropriately regarding contraception. Additionally, Dr Finn is trained to fit the Intra Uterine Device and Intra Uterine System (Copper coil and Minerva).

Foreign Travel

Our nurses run a full travel clinic and can advise you of all your medical travel needs. It is best to enquire at least two months before your travel date. We are registered for yellow fever vaccinations.

Preventive Medicine

In line with current NHS policy we offer a range of preventive medicine clinics including offering advice on alcohol, smoking cessation, weight and cholesterol.Please ask at reception to book an appointment with the appropriate clinician.

Private Services Available Within The Practice

In line with our philosophy of offering our patients a holistic service, we have a range of private practitioners who visit the surgery and offer the following services:

All these services are offered as a private arrangement between you and the chosen practitioner. For more information please pick up the relevant business card in reception and contact the practitioner directly.

Letters, Reports and Claim Forms

Please allow ten working days for us to process your letters, reports or claim forms. Some of these items will attract a fee and you will be advised of the fee at the time of the request. You will be expected to pay for your letters, reports or claim forms on collection from reception. Please note we cannot take credit or debit cards
